Jan 15, 20242024 Quad County Walnut Institute opens registration
The Quad-County Walnut Institute will be held 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m on February 2, 2024 at the Robert J. Cabral Ag Center in Stockton. The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources has partnered with the California Walnut Board and Commission to host this event.
The Quad-County Walnut Institute offers attendees two sessions, one of which will provide presentations from experts and researchers. In the second session, participants will have an opportunity to hear from the board, commission and other attendees on a variety of pertinent topics.

- Cause, prevention, and treatments of crown and trunk galls in walnuts presented by Cameron Zuber
- Cover crop benefits and considerations for walnut orchards presented by Kamyar Aram
- Research updates on borer and worm pests of walnuts presented by Jhalendra Rijal
- Robert Verloop, executive director and CEO of California Walnut Board and Commission
