2026 Sustainable Agriculture Summit to focus on farm sustainability
The 2026 Sustainable Agriculture Summit will bring agricultural leaders together Nov. 18-19 in Fort Worth to discuss sustainability, farm economics, water and conservation.
The 2026 Sustainable Agriculture Summit will bring farmers, agricultural businesses, researchers, conservation organizations and other food system stakeholders together Nov. 18-19 in Fort Worth, Texas, for two days of discussions on the future of sustainable agriculture.
The annual event will be held at the Fort Worth Convention Center and will focus on the economic, environmental and operational challenges shaping sustainability across U.S. agriculture.
Organizers describe the Summit as an event “for agriculture and by agriculture,” designed to bring different parts of the food and agriculture value chain together to share challenges, successes and approaches to building a more sustainable and resilient food system.
This year’s agenda puts farmers and farm economics at the center of many of those conversations.
The opening keynote, “State of Ag Economy in the U.S.,” will examine commodity prices, input costs, land values, farm income and other economic conditions affecting producers’ ability to invest in sustainability.
That will be followed by “Producer Voices: Finding Balance for Lasting Sustainability,” a farmer-focused discussion examining what it takes to implement and maintain sustainable practices while operating productive and profitable farm businesses.
Several breakout sessions will address issues applicable to growers evaluating conservation and regenerative practices.
Sessions will explore conservation funding partnerships, crop insurance options for producers transitioning to more resilient production practices, water management, agricultural technology and the factors influencing the next generation of farmers considering regenerative agriculture.
Water will be another major focus. “More Crop Per Drop: How AI-Powered Technology and Partnership Are Cutting Water Across Supply Chains” will examine precision agriculture, AI-supported irrigation technology, corporate funding models and reporting. A separate session will look at practical approaches to building water resilience throughout agricultural supply chains.
The economics behind adopting new practices will continue throughout the program. An interactive workshop, “Will the Practice Pencil Out? Understanding Farm and Lender Decisions in Sustainable Agriculture,” will examine sustainability investments from both producer and agricultural lender perspectives.
Other sessions will address conservation program design, low-yield cropland, agricultural finance, supply chain resilience, sustainability data and partnerships between researchers and the agriculture industry.
The Summit will also recognize 2026 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer with a session titled “Women Are Farming. Is Agriculture Keeping Up?” Women farmers will discuss access to capital, technical assistance, markets, succession and leadership opportunities.
Networking opportunities and roundtable discussions are scheduled throughout the event, giving attendees opportunities to discuss issues including regenerative agriculture, water stewardship, carbon markets, farm resilience and conservation funding in smaller groups.
The 2026 Sustainable Agriculture Summit is scheduled for Nov. 18-19 at the Fort Worth Convention Center, 1201 Houston St., Fort Worth, Texas. Registration and additional event information are available through the Sustainable Agriculture Summit website.
