Entrapment insecticide expands EPA crop label to all crop groups
Entrapment insecticide gains EPA approval for all crop groups, expanding pest control options for greenhouse and specialty crop growers. Learn key label updates and explore application benefits.
Attune Agriculture announced its Entrapment insecticide has received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to expand its label to all EPA crop groups, allowing use across agricultural, ornamental and greenhouse production systems.

The expanded label enables applications on any plant in settings including greenhouses and controlled environment agriculture. The agency also approved additional target pests, including spotted wing drosophila on soft-skinned fruit, cotton jassid on cotton, chinch bugs on turf and spotted lanternfly in vineyards, orchards and ornamentals.
Entrapment uses a physical mode of action based on hydrocolloid technology that traps and immobilizes insects on plant surfaces. The product has a 0-day preharvest interval and no restrictions on spray intervals or total applications, which may offer flexibility for greenhouse growers managing frequent pest cycles and beneficial insect programs.
“Entrapment provides dependable control on a broad range of pests, even obscure species, as well as application flexibility for growers, an attribute that is missing from most chemical standards,” said Ed Quattlebaum, director of product development at Attune Agriculture.
The company said the insecticide can be used alone or in rotation with conventional chemistries to help delay resistance. The product line includes four formulations, including one approved for organic production.
