Nut Growers Society of Oregon’s virtual winter meeting Jan. 21

The Nut Growers Society of Oregon’s virtual winter meeting Jan. 21 will feature discussions on Oregon State University hazelnut research, a hazelnut stewardship program, an update on tariff impacts and other topics.

The live stream will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will be available to those who’ve renewed their NGS membership for 2021, according to an event flier. The meeting is being held online this year because of coronavirus-related restrictions on public gatherings.

Viewers will have a chance to ask the speakers questions in real time.

“We know it’s not the same, but we do have a means to interact the best we can,” the NGS told its members in a November newsletter. The organization said it hopes its annual summer tour will be held in person
