Sym-Agro names new Pacific Northwest sales manager

Sym-Agro announced that Mark Gibbs has joined the company as Pacific Northwest sales manager for western Oregon and Washington. Mark will focus on wine grapes, berries, tree fruit and hazelnuts, other west coast markets and will assist new product launches.

Gibbs has extensive experience with 37+ years as an agronomist with Oregon Vineyard Supply (OVS), servicing primarily the Willamette Valley wine grape industry. Mark helped lead OVS agronomy into a variety of high-value horticultural crops, including blueberries, cranberries, caneberries, hops, hazelnuts, cherries and apples among others. He earned a Horticulture/IPM degree from Michigan State University and has served in various agricultural committees through the years.

“Mark’s background of being raised in a farming community in Michigan and 43+ years in PNW horticulture crops make him an ideal choice to represent Sym-Agro in the Pacific Northwest markets,” said Peter Bierma, president and general manager of Sym-Agro. “Mark is filling a much-needed role in our organization to compliment the consultive sales approach with deep agronomic experience to help give our customers the support they need. We are excited to welcome a person of his experience to our organization.”

Sym-Agro is a privately held company focused on developing and marketing effective pest control solutions for crops including tree fruit, vine crop, berries and vegetables. The growing portfolio of products includes ProBlad Verde fungicide/bactericide, Cinnerate organic fungicide/miticide, Instill fungicide/bactericide and Eckosil Shield heat stress and solar protectant.
