Aug 16, 2024Aertssen Logistics expands U.S. operations with new facility near Savannah
Belgian logistics company Aertssen Logistics has opened a new international logistics site in Rincon, Georgia, just 12 miles from the Port of Savannah. The 35-acre facility will support global logistics for OEMs in agriculture, mining and construction machinery.
The location was chosen for its expansion potential, robust local workforce and proximity to the Port of Savannah, which offers over 35 weekly services to global markets. Aertssen Logistics aims to double its annual machine processing by 2030, leveraging its experience from Europe, where it operates major Equipment Processing Centers (EPCs) in Belgium.
“We see significant opportunities for growth driven by U.S. infrastructure investments and increased demand for efficient logistics solutions,” said Guus Verhaagen, business development manager USA for Aertssen Logistics.
Aertssen’s U.S. expansion will also include additional sites in Baltimore, Tacoma and Houston.
