American Pistachio Growers (APG) warns of hotel scam in a recent email, which noted that unauthorized housing providers are contacting industry members about hotel rooms, at a steep discount for the 2025 annual conference.
“Please be aware of fraudulent agencies actively contacting industry members offering to secure hotel rooms at potentially reduced rates for the Pistachio Industry Annual Conferenc,” APG’s email read. “As in the past, we do not partner with any hotel booking agencies. These are unauthorized SCAMS and NOT AFFILIATED in any way with American Pistachio Growers.”
APG shared that once the registration has opened, hotel information will be available and emphasized the importance of booking directly through the hotel.
“Should you receive one of these emails, text messages, telephone call or prompts, please disregard,” the APG email said.
