Iowa Nut Growers Association is hosting the Hazelnut Academy

The Iowa Nut Growers Association is hosting the Hazelnut Academy that started Feb. 1 and continues through March 22.

This eight -part training series will run weekly on Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m. Central Standard time and features 40-60 minute sessions geared toward new and intermediate growers addressing a range of topics from planning to planting to maintenance to harvesting, processing, marketing and more.

Landowners and prospective growers completing the course will be eligible to partner with the Iowa Nut Growers Association to establish research plantings of some of the best available experimental geno-type bushes being developed.
