Meridian Growers provided an update on pistachio and almond pricing on Nov. 14, 2023.
PISTACHIOS
“Not much change from last week on inshell pricing. Have seen a softening on kernel prices especially on lower grade material. Demand for closed shell and shelling stock is increasing,” Meridian Growers stated in its report.
ALMONDS
Meridian Growers noted that in its recent position report, strong commitments surprised some in the industry. Yet the prices have remained relatively steady for both kernels and inshell. “There continues to be some difficulty with getting smaller sized almonds this year,” the update stated.
