On June 27, 2024, Meridian Growers released its latest crop report, revealing the status of pistachio, almond and pecan crop prices and shipments.
Meridian Growers noted that there are minimal 2023 pistachio crops remaining, and prices are steady. “Buyers have started to ask about 2024 crop but most sellers are very reluctant to presell as the forecasted production is trending downward,” the company stated in a recent email.
Almond crops are experiencing a decline in pricing, Meridian Growers reported, and noted that buyers have met existing needs and are looking ahead to the 2024 crop.
Meridian Growers stated that pecan shipments are experiencing a drop from last year, yet pricing remains steady. In its report, Meridian Growers stated that it doesn’t see any major changes in the near future.
