Nov 14, 2022Nitricity fertilizer technology featured at UN COP27
As the second week of the 27th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP27) kicks off in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, Nitricity is among a select few companies being showcased at the event for their game-changing climate technology. Through an interactive exhibit in the U.S. Center, hosted by the U.S. Department of State, Nitricity’s renewable fertilizer technology is being highlighted to global attendees from government and industry.
Nitricity’s renewable fertilizer technology has been rapidly gaining notice for its unique production approach and potential for large-scale emissions reduction in agriculture. The Nitricity method uses only air, water, and renewable electricity (e.g., solar or wind) to produce sustainable nitrogen fertilizer input for farmers.
“We are honored for Nitricity to be featured at the world’s premier stage for international action on climate change,” said Nicolas Pinkowski, CEO and co-founder of Nitricity. “Officials at COP27 will be working toward concrete, collaborative solutions to mitigate immediate and long-term impacts of climate change. As a renewable fertilizer innovator focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in both the production and application of nitrogen fertilizer, we believe our technology has a critical role in this conversation.”
The U.S. Center at COP27 is showcasing U.S. climate leadership through climate innovation exhibits along with a series of educational events. Nitricity is featured among other climate innovators in the First Movers Coalition exhibit, designed to highlight companies making strides in hard-to-decarbonize industries.
