Growers interested in learning more about ways to market their organic products are invited to participate in the Organic Farming Research Foundation’s (OFRF) Farmer-Farmer Virtual Networking Event.

The webinar is scheduled for Nov. 10th at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time, 10:00 a.m. Pacific.

There is no charge.

The Seeds of Success: Farmer to Farmer Networking webinar plans to address the top non-production challenge identified by organic producers in OFRF’s 2022 NORA report: Finding and developing markets for organic products.

“This event will be an engaging opportunity for farmers to come together, ask questions and share strategies for overcoming their market-related challenges,” event sponsors said in a news release.

The session is scheduled to feature three women farmers that have creatively grown their markets for organic products. The session panelists are:
  • Amy Van Scoik, Frog Song Organics, a Hawthorne, Florida, vegetable grower.
  • Pam Mack, L Marie Ltd., a Mansfield, Ohio, vegetable grower.
  • Anna Jones-Crabtree, Vilicus Farms, a Montana grains grower.
The farmer-presenters are scheduled to present brief presentations sharing their experiences and providing insights into their approach and process, followed by a facilitated Q&A session and breakout sessions to share ideas and opportunities.

Based in Santa Cruz, California, OFRF is a national public interest organization dedicated to fostering the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems. The organization was founded in 1990.
