Almond Conference 2025 agenda highlights

The Almond Conference 2025 will take place Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 10–12, bringing together California almond growers, handlers and industry partners.

Almond Board of California logo.The conference opens Wednesday, Dec. 10, with registration at 8:00 a.m. Breakout sessions are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., followed by the opening of the exhibit hall at 1 p.m. The “State of the Industry” session from 2 to 3:30 p.m. will feature Clarice Turner, president and CEO of the Almond Board of California (ABC), and Bob Silveira, ABC board of director chair.

Key segments include economic insights from Scott Clemons, a moderated discussion with select board members past and present, and a global marketing update from Emily Fleischmann and Craig Duerr.

Wednesday concludes with dedicated trade show time and an opening reception from 3:30 to 6 p.m., with the exhibit hall open from 1 to 6 p.m.

On Thursday, Dec. 11, registration opens at 7 a.m. The breakfast session, “Almonds in Action: Driving Innovation in Food and Beverage” (8 to 9:30 a.m.), features Clarice Turner, Emily Fleischmann, Lu Ann Williams (Innova Market Insights), Amy Cesta (Schafer Candon Carter), and Dr. Amitoj Singh (BCG). The session explores trends in almond ingredients across beverages, snacks and bakery products, including emerging opportunities in foodservice and international markets.

The lunch session, “How Nutrition is Driving Demand and a Healthier Tomorrow” (11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.), moderated by Dariela Roffe-Rackind, features Phil Gowland (Whitworths), Frances Largeman-Roth (registered dietitian), Elena Hemler, and Bobbie Williams (registered dietitian nutritionist and almond grower). The panel will examine nutrition research, health trends and innovation opportunities in the almond industry.

Thursday afternoon and Friday morning include additional breakout sessions, trade show visits and poster sessions.

The conference provides growers with updates on the industry’s economic outlook, global demand trends, ingredient innovation and nutrition research, as well as opportunities to engage directly with suppliers and service providers.
