Heliae Agriculture welcomes new director of ag science

Global soil health innovator and regenerative agriculture leader Heliae Agriculture is proud to announce the appointment of a new director of ag science, Cassidy Million. This position will champion Heliae Agriculture’s industry outreach, agronomy trials, and product training for its portfolio of microalgae solutions.

Million joins Heliae Agriculture from Monty’s Plant Food where she served as the senior agricultural research scientist for the company’s plant nutrition and soil products. Prior to this role, she held a research plant pathologist position with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service, where she researched non-host resistance in wheat and barley. She has also performed research in the Integrated Plant Protection Unit of SLU – Swedish University of the Agricultural Sciences Plant Protection Biology department.

“Cassidy brings a wealth of knowledge in research, plant science, and industry communication to our team,” said Norm Davy, chief commercial officer of Heliae Agriculture. “This role is a critical bridge between our team of scientists and the agricultural industry and growers we serve. Cassidy is well-suited to help us achieve our mission of creating products to change the world, and we look forward to her valuable contributions.”

Million earned both her master’s and doctorate in plant pathology and phytopathology from The Ohio State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in plant science from Indiana University Southeast.
