Jul 17, 2023MSU hosting Chestnut Chat 2023 Summer Series
The remaining meetings that are part of Michigan State University Extension’s summer chestnut grower meetings are scheduled for July and August.
MSU’s Chestnut Chat 2023 Summer Series meetings are designed to update growers on MSU chestnut programs.
MSU is scheduling a series of interactive Zoom meetings to allow easy communication between producers and MSU faculty.
The informal bi-weekly sessions will include crop and pest updates from Rob Sirrine and Erin Lizotte.
In addition, MSU faculty and veteran growers will drop in to address timely issues and provide research project updates. As MSU chestnut specialists are interested in hearing about what’s going on in growers’ orchards, MSU is also encouraging growers to bring their field notes, according to a news release.
The Thursday sessions will began May 18 and run every-other-week through Aug. 24 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST. Registration is free, but required. Interested growers can sign up at https://events.anr.msu.edu/2023chestnutchats/
