Free webinar to cover regenerative soil health practices for orchard growers

Oregon hazelnut and other perennial crop growers can learn about regenerative soil health practices during a free webinar from 4 to 5 p.m. Pacific time on Aug. 19.
“Soil Health That Works: Practical Strategies for Orchards” will focus on research-based approaches to soil health and their use in commercial orchards. The one-hour webinar is designed for conventional and organic producers, as well as orchard managers, crop consultants and other agricultural professionals.

Presenters will discuss the foundations of soil health in orchard systems and regenerative practices that can improve orchard performance. The program also will examine how growers are applying soil health principles in commercial orchards and identify practical strategies producers can use in their operations.
The webinar is presented by Oregon State University Extension Service (OSU Extension), Oregon Climate & Agriculture Network (OrCAN) and Oregon Organic Hazelnut Collective (OOHC).
