Acadian Plant Health and BASF Agricultural Solutions have entered partnered to develop new agricultural products aimed at improving crop resilience and sustainability in response to climate change.
The collaboration will combine Acadian’s biostimulant technology with BASF’s agricultural chemistry and biological solutions to enhance crop protection and productivity.
The partnership is focused on delivering innovative solutions that support farmers as they face increasing challenges from climate change, while also helping them meet sustainability goals. “Combining our knowledge and skills creates new agricultural solutions that enhance productivity, sustainability, and resilience to climate change,” said Nelson Gibson, president of Acadian Plant Health. “Our goal is to drive greater economic well-being for farmers while ensuring environmental sustainability.”
By integrating Acadian’s biostimulants into BASF’s existing crop care inputs, the collaboration aims to create products that not only improve yields but also promote environmentally responsible farming practices. BASF has committed to transforming the agricultural food system, a key aspect of which is supporting farmers in adopting smarter, more sustainable farming methods.
“Farmers today are tasked with balancing productivity and sustainability,” said Marko Grozdanovic, senior vice president of global marketing at BASF Agricultural Solutions. “They must feed the world while preserving natural resources and building resilience to climate change and market volatility. By connecting the best products, technologies, and services, we want to positively transform agriculture and food systems.”
The partnership is expected to have a wide-reaching impact on global agriculture. Acadian’s biostimulant technology, which promotes plant growth and stress tolerance, will complement BASF’s portfolio of crop protection products, creating new tools to improve crop health, yield, and quality. The companies also plan to focus on reducing the environmental impact of agricultural practices by developing climate-smart solutions that align with global sustainability goals.
