Apr 12, 2023USDA opens 2023 NIFA Hall of Fame nominations
USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is now accepting nominations for the NIFA Hall of Fame.
Individuals that have been inducted into the NIFA Hall of Fame are recognized for efforts that exemplify NIFA’s “synergy of excellence in any combination of research, education, and Extension approaches on local, regional, national or international levels,” according to the USDA.
In a recent letter, Dr. Dionee Toombs, acting director for the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, noted that nominations can be individuals or teams that have performed “distinguished service.”
“We ask that Deans, Directors, and Administrators thoroughly review each submission for validity of accomplishments before signing their approval on the nomination form,” Toombs stated in the letter. “We have many excellent examples of success in these categories across our partnership, and NIFA looks forward to recognizing great accomplishments.”
